Gents Hair Perm in London
The hair is cleaned before being wrapped around perm rods. After that, the hair is softened using a perm lotion. When the hair has grown sufficiently, it is washed and treated with a neutralising lotion. Finally, the rods are removed, and the hair is washed and curled. The treatment takes about 2 hours in total.
Our pricing starts from £120 for half head and full head from £180.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I colour or highlight my hair after getting a perm?
If you want to colour your hair, you should do it at least two weeks before or after the perm. Please keep in mind that if you have already coloured your hair, this procedure may cause the colour to fade.
Is a perm suitable for all hair types?
This treatment is usually performed on healthy hair. We will not be able to provide this treatment to clients who have had an all-over bleach application, a high-lift tint, bleach highlights, or who have relaxed their hair. It is also not suited for damaged hair. Please call us at 07500 600 677 to schedule a free consultation. You may also schedule a free consultation online.
How long does it take for a perm to grow out?
If you pick a gentle wavy perm, the curl may reduce by up to 30% after the first few of shampoos. Following that, with a gentle perm, the hair will progressively become less curly, losing up to 80% of its wave. The majority of males with short hair have their hair trimmed every 5 to 6 weeks. With some of the permed hair being cut and the soft curl decreasing, there will only be a tiny amount of wave remaining on the ends. As a result, most people who desire a delicate wave perm their hair typically every 12 weeks. If you have long hair, you can obtain the beachy wavy style with a mild perm, but keep in mind that you can soon lose up to 80% of the wave. If you pick tight curls, you will discover that your perm will stay longer, perhaps up to a year.
Are men’s perms making a comeback?
Yes, men’s perms are back in style, but instead of a full head of curls, many guys are merely perming the top of their hair and cutting the sides short in 2022. Top hairstyles range from a tight curling texture to a few delicate waves.
I have straight hair and want a “curly top” hairdo; do I need a perm?
Yes, if you have naturally straight hair and want to get a curly top hairdo, you will require a perm. The sides will also need to be trimmed short.
How frequently will I have to reapply the Perm?
You may have it done again when your new growth is at least 3 inches long, which should be about 6 months.
How long does it take to get a perm?
It normally takes around 2 hours.
How long should I wait before washing my hair after getting a perm?
Please refrain from shampooing or getting your hair wet for three days.
Will a diffuser still be required?
Some people prefer to dry their hair using a diffuser to prevent upsetting the curl. If you have the time, you may just wash your hair and let it air dry instead of using a diffuser.
Is there anything I shouldn’t do with my permed hair?
You should wait at least 14 days before colouring your hair after getting a perm. To avoid getting water in the hairline. When taking a bath or shower, you may also keep your hair dry by wrapping it in a towel.
Is perming bad for your hair?
Perming may be detrimental if the substance is kept on the hair for an extended period of time or if it is applied to sensitised hair, such as from prior colours, perms, or heat damage.
The last time I got a perm/chemical hair straightening, I experienced an allergic reaction. Will having a perm be safe?
Because perm lotions and chemical hair straightening treatments include very similar components, there is a very significant potential of you having another adverse reaction to this treatment, and so we would be unable to provide this service for you.
